A focus on the fundamentals…
I have taught in colleges for over a decade, and in each course, whether it’s basic drawing or advanced studio, we start with the physical nature of visual art practice.
My teaching philosophy centers around the concept of RESPECT: respect for the time and costs involved in students pursuing higher education, respect for the risks of learning in a group environment, and respect for the important relationship between mentor and student.
My goal is to work in an institution that values the quality of teaching, and the pursuit of improvement in effective educational instruction as an ongoing group practice.
